A New Friend

When your weary,
Feelin small,
When tears are in your eyes,
I'll dry them all.

I'm on your side,
When times get rough.
And friends just can't be found,
build a friend out of frozen water.

I've never trusted snowmen since I was a kid. April was unusually warm, and my winter snowman had melted leaving a pile of dry grass clippings where he had stood. I was seven years old and in bare feet, and there was only one thing to do. I took a run-up from the far end of the garden and kicked into the clippings as hard as I could - and broke a toe on the pyramid of beautifully-insulated ice in the middle of it.

That is so cute. Like the poem! Did you write that too?!

Sorry to say I'm not much of a poet. Those are the lyrics to a Simon and Garfunkel song. (Bridge Over Troubled Water) Except for the last line.
Thanks for the comment though.
